Missouri Waltz - Concertina Karaoke
BERLIN Extremely Vintage 1905 Berliner (Double octave) Chemnitzer Concertina solo with "real" and beautiful Mother-of-Pearl flower inlay. Well over 100 years old, a very very rare musical instrument that is fully playable and in pristine condition. THROUGH ALL OF THESE YEARS, I STILL DON'T KNOW HOW IT HAS SURVIVED. This is the official Missouri State Song as of 1949. First published in 1914. Melody by John Eppel. Arranged by Fredric Logan using lyrics written by James Royce Shannon. ON THE #1, LET'S GO!! Hush-a-bye, ma baby, slumber time is coming soon; The sandman is callin' where shadows are fallin', While the soft breezes sigh as in days long gone by....Where down in Missouri, where I heard this melody, When I was a little child on my mommy's knee; The old folks were hummin' their banjo's were strummin', So sweet and low........ " Johnny Boy " Gary Erickson Minneapolis, MN USA.
